Interview with Adrien “The Problem” Broner “I’ve been focused on Boxing”

By Francisco Martinez caught up with Adrien “The Problem” Broner for a quick interview at the Adrien Broner vs Shawn Porter press conference at the Nokia club in Los Angeles, CA.

bronerporter1 “(Shawn) Porter said that if it wasn’t for the catchweight (144lbs) you wouldn’t fight him. You wouldn’t step into the ring with him at the full 147lbs? (Welterweight)”

Adrien Broner: “How can you say that? It’s okay, it’s Okay. I’ve been in the ring with him when he weighed over 160lbs” (Porter and Broner have done sparring together in the past) “Tell us about this new found relationship in your former adversary in (Marcos) Chino Maidana?”

Adrien Broner: “Oh man, that’s my homie. I’ll party with Chino any day. He’s a good guy”

broner “Who has more gold chains, you or Mr. T?” (Adrien Broner, wearing four gold chains)

Adrien Broner: “If you ask me that question one more time I’m going to have you escorted” “Who would you like to do a feature with out of all of them?” (As he ran down to us which artist where on his playlist)

Adrien Broner: “I did features with everybody already” “Why don’t you do a Hip-Hop album?” (Adrien Broner has a music career in the genre of Hip-Hop)

Adrien Broner: “I’ve been focused on Boxing. That’s what I’m focused on right now. After I finish my business I might just drop a mixtape. I got one done”

BronerTaylor_Hoganphotos1 “(Oscar) De La Hoya has stated not a day passes by where he doesn’t think about fighting again. How would you fair against an unretired Golden Boy?”

Adrien Broner: “Ain’t nobody worry about no f*cking retired Boxer! Ain’t nobody worried about no retired Boxer and I ain’t with no f*cking Golden Boy. (promotions)”

Adrien made the following comments at the press conference:

“I’m very blessed to be here. I’ve been through some things that would say I shouldn’t have been here today, but now I’m one of the biggest names in boxing.”

“This is a big fight because Adrien Broner is on the card. No disrespect to Shawn and Kenny, but I’m coming to win and I’m going to win.”

“Even if it’s a hard fight, I’m going to win this fight. They say he’s strong, they say he comes like a bulldozer. Whatever they bring to the table on June 20, I’m ready. ”

“I’m going to be the most powerful fighter on June 20th and definitely the prettiest fighter on June 20. Don’t blink or you’ll miss it.”
