Floyd Mayweather vs. Mike Zambidis Exhibition Set for Athens, June 27

Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. has his next exhibition opponent lined up — and this time he’s heading to Greece.

The 50-0 Mayweather will face Greek kickboxing and boxing legend Mike “Iron” Zambidis on June 27, 2026, at the Telekom Center inside the OAKA Olympic Complex in Athens. The event, dubbed “Battle of the Legends,” was officially announced this week.

Mayweather, who retired from professional boxing after defeating Conor McGregor in 2017, has stayed busy on the exhibition circuit with a revolving door of opponents across weight classes and disciplines. The Athens bout adds an international twist to his latest run, taking the 15-time world champion to the birthplace of the Olympic Games.

Who Is Mike Zambidis?

Zambidis may not be a household name for boxing-only fans, but in the kickboxing world he’s a legitimate icon. The Greek-born fighter racked up a career record of 180 fights, 158 wins, and 87 knockouts across boxing and kickboxing, earning 18 world championships along the way. He made his name on the biggest stages in combat sports, including Japan’s famed K-1 events, where his relentless pressure style and heavy hands made him a fan favorite. In Greece, he’s a national sporting hero.

The Card

Beyond the Mayweather-Zambidis main event, the card will feature two world title bouts with international-level fighters, plus live entertainment and a concert. The event will be held at the OAKA Olympic Complex, which hosted the 2004 Athens Summer Games, and is expected to be broadcast internationally.

Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster, with pricing and on-sale dates to be announced. Specific bout rules, round count, and weight class have not yet been released.

The event is sponsored by SEAJETS and supported by X-treme Stores, Greece’s largest fitness chain.
