In preparation of their upcoming super welterweight championship showdown April 20 in San Antonio, Texas, WBC champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (41-0-1, 30 KO) and WBA champion Austin “No Doubt” Trout (26-0, 14 KO) will be holding a three city, two-day press tour to officially announce their unification bout.

Commencing this Wednesday, March 13, the super welterweight stars will appear in at the Alamodome in San Antonio, and will be making two subsequent stops on March 14 in Houston and McAllen. All of the press conferences are open to the public.

The following are the times and specific locations of each press conference:

Wednesday, March 13

Alamodome (Arena Floor)-San Antonio at 2 p.m. CT.
Thursday, March 14

PlazAmericas Mall (Lower Level Stage Area)-Houston at 11 a.m. CT
McAllen Convention Center- McAllen at 3:30 p.m. CT
In one of the most highly anticipated fights of the year, undefeated Alvarez will meet with Trout to unify their super welterweight titles and will most likely determine which pugilist will face Floyd Mayweather Jr. in September.

At 22-years-old Alvarez has already established himself as one of the best fighters in the world, winning the vacant WBC belt over Matthew Hatton in 2011, and since has successfully defended the title five times. In his last two outings he dismantled former champion and future Hall-of-Famer Shane Mosley for 12 rounds en route to earning a unanimous decision, and last September he devastated Joselito Lopez, stopping him in five rounds and putting him on the canvas three times.

Trout’s journey to landing this huge unification bout really began when he picked apart Miguel Cotto in front of the Puerto Rican’s hometown fans of Madison Square Garden last December. Prior to the fight Trout was flying under the preverbal boxing radar—despite having the WBA belt since 2011—and was an underdog going into the championship bout. But he proved to the boxing world that he is a legit title holder as he did something against Miguel Cotto that Mayweather couldn’t even do—make the former champion look uncomfortable and out of place through the 12 round fight.

Alvarez-Trout is a very fan friendly matchup that should deliver fireworks, and both fighters know what is on the line with this one. The action and buildup for this bout gets started Wednesday, and fans have the chance to witness the ball getting rolling.

The super welterweight championship of the world will be aired live on Showtime April 20.
