Frank Maloney Pres Release: Sexton vs. Bell Sept 11

Streaking flyweight prospect Ashley Sexton gets his first shot at the big time on Friday, September 11 at the Brentwood Centre in Essex, England.

The lightning quick Cheshunt stylist faces seasoned performer Andy Bell for the vacant English belt in a contest that also serves as an eliminator for the British title.

The pair are on the undercard of the hotly anticipated main event between English heavyweight champion John McDermott and hard-hitting challenger Tyson Fury.

Just 21 years of age, “Flash Ash”, 7-0 (3), has barely lost a round while ripping through a lineup of the usual suspects since joining the professional ranks 13 months ago.

But Sexton will face an imposing barrier in the form of towering veteran Andy Bell, 11-4 (3), a hero in his native Doncaster.

Bell, 24, has held the British and English super flyweight titles as well as the British Masters and Midlands Area crowns at bantam, and is relishing the bout with the less experienced Sexton on September 11.

In a fight that will pit guile against grit, speed against strength, Sexton and Bell will put on a true 50-50 clash of styles that is sure to delight all those in attendance and watching on Sky Sports.

Frank Maloney’s FTM Sports presents “Colossal”, the Heavyweight Championship of England between reigning titlist John McDermott and challenger Tyson Fury with full undercard on Friday, September 11, 2009 at The Brentwood Centre in Essex, England.

Tickets are priced £90 and £35 and are available from The Box Office on 0871 226 1508 and www.frankmaloney.com

Sky Sports will televise live on SS2 and HD2 at 10.00PM.
