Erislandy Lara Looking Sensational in Sparring

The Showtime PPV matchup between Canelo Alvarez (43-1-1) and Erislandy Lara (19-1-2) for the WBA Super Welterweight Championship is two weeks away. Lara has been actively sparring for this bout and reports indicate he has looked good in sparring. Lara offered the following comments before his world title bout.

“My sparring partners are pushing me with numerous styles and I’m adapting to all of them comfortably,” Lara said. “I told them to come extra hard to prepare me for the pressure Canelo is going to bring. I feel great and my timing is right on.”

“I know Canelo is training hard for this fight, as am I, but unfortunately for him, there is nothing he can do to surprise me. He’s going to find out on July 12 that I’m the superior fighter. His insecurities as a fighter will surface on fight night—that I can guarantee.”

Chisora Ready to Smash Fury’s Body

Dereck Chisora roared “There’s no place for Fury to hide” at his latest media workout as he prepares for his bout with rival Tyson Fury at Manchester’s Phones 4 U Arena on Saturday, July 26th. Chisora claimed that he will be looking to chop Fury down to size with body shots.

“He’s a big guy and I’ll be looking to smash his body up with my punches,” said Chisora. “He’ll definitely fall from a body punch, he won’t be able to stand the head that I’ll be brining, I’ll be chopping him down like a tree.”

He went on further to state, “There’ll be no place for him to hide in that ring and I’ll be hunting him down until he’s got nowhere to go and I’ll nail him, but the time I’ve finished with him he’ll be the size of me!”.

“I don’t want to hear any excuses from him after the fight, he better be ready because he’s getting knocked out.”
