It was reported earlier this week that as Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton continues to prepare for his comeback fight against former WBA world welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko November 24 in Manchester, the former two-time world champion has been busy with the expansion of his promotional company, Hatton Promotions.

Hatton launched the promotional company as he plans to feature top boxers from the Far East and Australia to give them a chance to shine on the big stage, and the first show is set to take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition on Tuesday, December 11.

Headlining the inaugural fight card will be two friends and Hatton Promotions fighters, undefeated heavyweights Lucas “Big Daddy” Brown (13-0, 12 KO) of Australia and Richard “The Inferno” Towers (14-0, 11 KO) of England.

The fight is billed as the Commonwealth Heavyweight title eliminator, and will give each undefeated prospect a chance to show the boxing world the skills they possess.

Despite being close friends outside of the ring, when the bell rings December 11 the two heavyweights will go to battle in an all-out war as the winner of the 10-round bout will fight David Price for his title.

Both boxers possess undeniable knockout power, and fight fans will be in for a treat in Hatton Promotion’s debut main event.

“What a fight to start out new promotional company, and how much more could be at stake,” Ricky Hatton commented.

“Lucas and Richard are both punchers and hungry for success and it will show on that night. The goal of Hatton Promotions Asia Pacific is to bring world class boxing events to different cities in Asia and build a world class stable in the region.”

These two colossal heavyweights—with Browne at 6’4” and Towers towering at 6’8”—have a chance to set the stage in the heavyweight division by shedding a glimpse of the up-and-coming talent.

Hatton Promotions has announced that the full undercard for this exciting night of fights will be released and confirmed in coming weeks.
