Funny Boxing Memory: Getting chased by a deer in the Poconos during my early morning run. Deers supposed to run the opposite direction of humans usually..but not on this morning [smiles].

Embarrassing Boxing Memory: “Drinking cold pear juice before my 15th pro fight not knowing it could be used for a form of laxative. So about time I got stretched out by my coach and headed out to fight after the third round…well let’s just say I used the bathroom in a public place [laughs]. Not to mention I wore all white trunks for the first time so you can imagine the rest.

Toughest Opponent: Louis Monaco (2001). I beat him by split decision and told my promoter I wanted to fight him again and the next time I beat him unanimously (2004). But it was early in my career, I had about seven fights and he was very awkardly tough for me.

Toughest Part Of Boxing: Getting meaningful fights, the politics.

Strangest Fight/Opponent: Don’t know about that one, all of my fights and opponents were pretty normal.

Funniest Boxers Encountered: Can’t remember.

Best Performance: When I fought Terry McGroom (2003). James Toney went eight rounds with him my homie Dominic Guinn went I think six rounds with him, and I got him out in two with a sharp right uppercut. I really felt great that night.
