-After Donaire’s victory on Saturday night over Mathebula, I was able to sneak in a few questions to Abner Mares while he posed for pictures with dozens of fans at ringside.
SG: What happens if you and Donaire fight?
Abner Mares : I win (laughs). It would be a good fight for the fans.
SG: What did you see tonight that makes you think you would win the fight? What weaknesses are in Donaire’s game?
Abner Mares: It would be interesting to see how Nonito reacts to a fighter who pushes him back.
