Opponent named for Sugar Ray Jr. and Canseco talks

(Aston, PA)— The opponent has been named and Sugar Ray Jr. has alot to say.

Actor Joe Parkinson from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania has stepped up for this challenge.

Sugar Ray Leonard Jr. had this to say about his newly named opponent “I don’t really know who this guy is that I am fighting, but I’m feeling like a caged animal that hasn’t eaten in a few weeks! I’m prepared mentally and physically, so I hope he is ready. My friends call me Rayzorsharp and I will be just that on July 24th.”

Just like his father, Leonard Jr has heart, desire and motivation.

The oldest son and namesake of legendary Hall of Fame boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, Ray Jr. has had large shoes to fill, and he’s filled them admirably.

Ray Jr. excelled in football and track & field, becoming a two sport Division I-A collegiate athlete.

On July 24, Ray Jr. will add a third sport to his pantheon of skills.

Leonard will step into the ring as a headliner for Celebrity Boxing Ten: When Worlds Collide, fighting Actor Joe Parkinson.
