Posted on 07/11/2014

Shelton, Washington- After suffering a controversial stoppage defeat against former title challenger Curtis Stevens in a fight that he’d been dominating, middleweight Tureano Johnson, 15-1-0-(10 KO’S) got back in the win column by dishing out a beating to local hero Mike Gravronski, 14-2-0-(10). Gavronski got off to a furious start and even stunned Johnson with a right uppercut in the first. However, after about the fourth round Gavronski looked utterly spend and Johnson mercilessly beat with uppercuts and body shots for the duration of the fight. Gavronski showed tremendous heart to make it to the finish line without touching the canvas. Final scores all read 99-91.

Lightweight Maicelo, 18-1-0(11 ko’s), pounded out a ten round split decision over Art Hovhannisyan,17-2-2, 9 KO’s. Maicelo used his superior hand speed and footwork to win by scores of 100-90, 97-93 on two cards. Hovhannisyan was the recipient of a ridiculous 96-94 on the third card; Maicelo easily won the fight.
