Broadcast: DAZN (live worldwide)
Promoter: Larry Goldberg, Boxing Insider Promotions

Boxing Insider Promotions closed out 2024 with their third annual Holiday Fight Night — the promotion’s 10th professional boxing event at Sony Hall since launching in October 2022. Six fights streamed live on DAZN from historic Times Square. “There is no place like New York City for boxing,” said promoter Larry Goldberg, the 2024 NYSBHOF Promoter of the Year. “It has the greatest vibe of anywhere in the world with great fans, as tough as nails, and the strongest regulations in the sport.” Kurt Scoby had been scheduled as the co-feature but his opponent withdrew after weigh-ins due to illness. Inspector: Matthew Delaglio. Matchmaker: Eric Bottjer.

MAIN EVENT
Andy Dominguez Velasquez (12-1, 7 KOs) def. Angel Geovanny “Rayito” Meza Morales (8-3-3, 6 KOs)
Flyweight — 8 Rounds
Result: Split Decision

An old-fashioned barnburner. Dominguez, the three-time New York Golden Gloves champion fighting out of the South Bronx, clearly won the first two rounds before Morales caught him coming in and dropped him in the third. The knockdown evened the fight and a confident Morales picked up the pace in the fourth. But Dominguez established command in the sixth round and kept control through the remainder of the bout. The all-Mexican flyweight war delivered exactly the kind of action DAZN viewers have come to expect from Boxing Insider cards.

CO-FEATURE
Terell “The Problem Child” Bostic (14-2, 2 KOs) def. Carlos Marrero III (8-10-3, 1 KO)
Super Lightweight — 8 Rounds
Result: Unanimous Decision (78-74, 80-72, 80-72)

The Wyandanch, Long Island native dominated the Bridgeport veteran over eight rounds, sweeping the fight on two of three cards. Bostic’s jab and ring generalship were on full display.

Nisa “Sweet-Destruction” Rodriguez (4-0, 2 KOs) def. Melody Popravak (2-2-1, 1 KO)
Middleweight — 6 Rounds
Result: TKO Round 2 (0:52)

The knockout of the night. Rodriguez, a fulltime NYPD officer ranked No. 9 by the WBC, rocked Popravak with 30 seconds remaining in the opening round and continued with a barrage of punches until the bell. Popravak never recovered. Rodriguez came out in the second and battered her with crisp combinations until the fight was halted at the 52-second mark — her first career stoppage as a professional. Rodriguez’s 15-year-old son Emerson was in attendance, as always, walking her out to the ring.

Donte Layne (6-0, 6 KOs) def. Pachino “Chino” Hill (8-8-2, 6 KOs)
Super Middleweight — 6 Rounds
Result: TKO Round 4 (1:02)

The 21-year-old from Queens — a 2022 and 2021 U.S. National Championships gold medalist and 2022 National Golden Gloves champion — kept his perfect knockout streak alive, stopping the veteran Hill in the fourth. Presented in association with Overtime Boxing.

Jacob Riley Solis (5-0-1, 5 KOs) vs. Daniel Jefferson (5-4)
Super Middleweight — 4 Rounds
Result: Majority Draw (36-40, 39-37, 38-38)

The first blemish on Solis’ record. The Manhattan middleweight, who had stopped all five previous opponents, was held to a majority draw by the Missouri journeyman Jefferson.

Koby Khalil Williams (4-0, 3 KOs) def. Deonta Williamson (0-3)
Super Lightweight — 4 Rounds
Result: TKO Round 1

The Brooklyn-based Virginia Beach product made quick work of Williamson, stopping him in the first round to open the card.
