Donofrio Set to Knockout Blindness on April 24

On Tuesday, April 24, promoter Joseph Donofrio of Donofrio Entertainment, the Shelby Lions Club and Leader Dogs of the Blind are holding their third-annual KNOCKOUT BLINDNESS MMA event at the Palazzo Grande in Shelby Township, Michigan (54660 Van Dyke).

Last year’s event drew more than 600 spectators and raised about $40,000 for charity. This year figures to be as good or better.

“This has become such a great event,” said Joseph Donofrio. “We’ve got 10 action-packed fights scheduled for this year plus a gourmet dinner, top-shelf open bar, door prizes and a silent auction and the best part is the proceeds go to such a great cause.”

This annual event generates the largest donation by the Shelby Lions Club for The Leader Dogs for the Blind, an organization that provides guide dogs to people who are blind and visually impaired to enhance their mobility, independence and quality of life.

The Shelby Township Lions Club has been serving its community for more than 50 years.

For tickets to KNOCKOUT BLINDNESS, please call Joe Burke (586.216.9338) or the Palazzo Grande at 586-731-2100.
