POST WEIGH-IN QUOTES

CHAMBERS: “I feel great! I had a lot more time to train for this fight. I had a great camp and my sparring partners Chazz Witherspoon and Stevie Cunningham pushed me to the limits and helped me prepare to expect anything. I come into this bout with Butler much better prepared physically and mentally.”

BUTLER: “I’ve always been in great physical condition, but I am in even better physical and mental condition for this fight. In training I got to the point where I wanted to quit, but I pushed myself past that. I am definitely in the best shape of my career.”

McCULLOUGH: “I felt great making the weight. My weight was good and I’m strong and ready to go. It was easy making weight here in the Cayman Islands. I’m here for business and a win, but I’ve been able to enjoy the location too. I can’t wait to get back in the ring and do what I love.”

RUIZ: “I’m happy with my weight and conditioning. Everything went great! I’m ready for Wayne. The question is: Is he ready for me.”

HEARNS: “My weight is never a problem and it is good as always. I am in great condition and come into this fight very confident.”

TOMMY HEARNS: “It’s awesome that (son) Ron is fighting here in the Cayman Islands. I’m glad he’s getting an opportunity to see what I had to go through all those years. He’s never fought out of the country and I know he is going to perform.”

“CAYMAN KNOCKOUT” will be held at the Royal Watler Cruise Terminal in the Grand Cayman capital city of George Town and presented by Goossen Tutor Promotions in association with The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism.

In the scheduled 12-round main event to be televised live (11 PM ET/PT) on Showtime’s SHOBOX: The New Generation, 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist Andre Ward (15-0, 10 KOs, Oakland, CA) and 2000 Dominican Republic Olympic representative Jerson Ravelo (18-2, 12 KOs, San Cristobal, DR) will display their superior boxing skills in a battle for the coveted NABO Super Middleweight Title.
