Royal Caribbean Boxing Cruise Announced With Jackie Kallen and Former Boxing Champions

By Jackie Kallen

How many boxing fans will want to go on a cruise with former and current champs that features a live boxing card on the last night? That’s what I am going to find out.

David Fishman of Cadillac Travel and I have booked November 15-19, 2012 for the first-ever Sail with the Champs Cruise. The ship is the brand new Liberty of the Seas. This is the jewel of the Royal Caribbean line. It offers everything from flat screens in every room, a surf park as well as a water park, a full spa, a gym staffed by professional trainers and more food than you could ever eat.

This is the largest ship on the seas today, with room for over 3,600 passengers. If you’ve never been on a cruise before, this is the way to go. If you’re already a cruise fan, this will be the most impressive cruise you’ve ever taken. The ship goes out of Fort Lauderdale, sails a couple of days at sea, and then goes to Cozumel, Mexico. It sails for 5 days and 4 nights.

We will be offering special rates to Boxing Insider fans. We are also going to round up an exciting roster of boxing “hosts” and a full night of boxing. There will be autograph signings, a large array of classic boxing memorabilia for sale, and plenty of photo ops.

I can’t wait to mix and mingle with so many of my favorite boxers as well as a floating group of devoted boxing fans. I will have 100 luxurious cabins available and will provide more info as it gets closer.
