Roy Jones vs. Tomasz Adamek?

Leading heavyweight contender Tomasz Adamek recently had the distinct pleasure to meet one of his all-time favorite boxing champions, the one and only Roy Jones Jr. Adamek met Jones at ringside of the recent Newark, NJ Prudential Center show of Zab Judah vs. Lucas Matthysse.

A source stated that while the two very popular gladiators were exchanging gracious pleasantries – in full view of the media and fans – the idea of the pair meeting in a 2011 showdown was suggested and both sides seemed to warm to the idea. Speculations that minor discussions of such a match have continued since the initial meeting were not refuted by the source.

Adamek is busy with a December 9 date with Vinny Maddalone and could possibly face WBC Heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko in March of next year. Jones presently has no opponent lined up for his next fight and has expressed a desire to continue his boxing career into his 40’s.
