Ameristar Casino, Saint Charles, Missouri -Lightweight Ivan Redkach, 17-0-1NC-(13), won an agonizingly dull decision over Sergey Gulyakevich. Redkach tried his best to make it a clean and exciting fight but Gulyakevich, 41-3-0-(17), wanted nothing to do with it, holding and spoiled for virtually the entire bout. Redkach was by far the harder puncher and landed the vast majority of the clean punches. The bout got progressively more ugly as Gulyakevich tired-causing him to hold to the point of excess. Final scores read 100-90, 99-91, 98-92.3

Boston Junior lightweight Ryan Kielczweski, 20-0-4-(10), stayed unbeaten with a ten round unanimous decision over Ramsey Luna (12-2, 4 KOs). Despite only having 24 amateur fights to Kielczweski’s 100 plus bouts, Luna made it a competitive affaire by applying constant pressure. Kielczweski did the cleaner work but his lack of punching power was evident. Scores were 79-73, 78-74, 78-74.

The night got off to an interesting start when the undefeated junior-lightweight prospect Stephon Young, 10-0-1-(4), got more than he bargained from the game Vincente Alfaro. Alfaro, 6-3-(1), applied intense pressure throughout the bout but was on the receiving end of the sharper counter-punches of Young. The final scored were 60-54, 59-55 and 60-56. Despite the lopsided scores it was thoroughly competitive bout.
