Dereck Chisora ‘Lusts’ To Beat Robert Helenius

By Johnny Walker

Dereck “Del Boy” Chisora (15-1, 9 KOs) of the UK is very passionate about his upcoming fight with Robert “The Nordic Nightmare” Helenius (16-0, 11 KOs) this Saturday at the Hartwall Areena in Helsinki, Finland.

So passionate, that Chisora has repeatedly talked about “making love” in the ring when Helenius and he meet as part of a star-studded heavyweight bill that also includes WBA “regular” heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin taking on American veteran Cedric Boswell.

“I already fantasized about making love to Robert,” Del-Boy, 27, quipped today at the final press conference, reiterating lustful sentiments toward Helenius made earlier in the promotion.

“That’s crazy, man, that’s crazy, what’s wrong with you, man?” asked an incredulous and amused Helenius, also 27.

“This is gonna be a smooth ride,” quipped a laid-back Del-Boy.

“He loves to beat women, and make love to men,” Helenius’ promoter Wilfried Sauerland observed of Chisora.

The eccentric Chisora bit his opponent Paul Butlin during a fight in 2009, and famously kissed another opponent, Carl Baker, to end a pre-fight staredown back in 2010. He was also convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend in the same year, spanking her after finding text messages from another man on her cell phone.

What’s next?

Tune in Saturday and find out (the fight will air in the US on EPIX in the US during a free promotion).
