"Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill."- Muhammad Ali

Margarito vs. Mosley Almost Signed & Sealed

Where is IBF Welterweight kingpin Antonio Margarito? Will he accept the offer to fight Shane Mosley in early 2009?

Key members of Team Margarito will re-unite today or tomorrow to make the final decision, but it looks like all systems are Go. Margarito and family have just returned from a two-week vacation. Manager Sergio Diaz is back from China after an 18 day business trip and will get together later today or tomorrow in Tijuana.

Here’s the latest from Sergio Diaz: “Tony is not missing in action. I had to go to China for business 2 1/2 weeks ago. Just before I got back, Tony left on a two week vacation with his family and just got back. I spoke to him yesterday and I feel positive about this fight moving forward. We believe this fight is worth more than the $2 million offer, but it is what it is, and HBO doesn’t believe the fight is worth more than $4 million and the economy is terrible. I’m on my way to Tijuana in an hour. I feel positive about about this fight happening, but Tony has the last word.”
