Miguel Cotto’s fitness guru since the Quintana KO victory - Phil Landman, and a key figure to the WBA Welterweight champ’s recent successes, weighs in with some final thoughts on how is man has prepared for the challenge presented by Antonio Margarito:

We are a week away from the showdown. How close is Miguel to being 100% prepared? What else needs to be done in order to reach his ultimate zenith in physical condition?

How has training camp gone so far compared to others? Any noticeable changes?

And how do you feel about this fight with Margarito today as compared to the day camp started?

Phil Landman: “We are a few days out from the fight and Miguel feels really good. We are on track with completing our work and the “routine” run up to the fight weekend.”

Phil Landman: “We have had a really good training camp. Miguel is working off a really good foundation of strength and fitness gained over the course of the two years we have spent working with each other. Physically the progression is showing and his conditioning is better than I have seen before (during my time with him). We have made no major changes to anything in the program, except subtle changes to benefit this particular camp. He is 100% ready for this fight and has remained extremely focused and dedicated throughout his preparation.”
